Values shape our everyday life and reflect how we want to be perceived. At Acts Academy, we emphasize three core principles:
People thrive when we treat one another, the life we’ve been entrusted with, and our surroundings with respect. Excellence is about taking ourselves and others seriously, living gratefully, and taking responsibility for both ourselves and the communities we’re part of.
In God’s eyes, all people are valuable and invited to live life with Him. At the same time, He has entrusted each of us with the responsibility to manage and develop our lives and abilities. Therefore, we believe it is our duty to do our very best. It is our responsibility to contribute to the fellowship of believers and advance God’s kingdom on earth by becoming the best version of ourselves.
At Acts Academy, we aim to be known for quality and for doing our very best with the resources available to us.
We encourage one another to live courageously – having faith, taking risks, and being willing to fail in the pursuit of God’s calling. We don’t value political correctness or conformity, but instead cultivate the uniqueness of each individual, respecting our heavenly Father’s original plan for each person.
At Acts Academy, we foster an environment that inspires courage, greatness, creativity, and the pursuit of the dreams God has placed in our hearts. We develop leaders who provide space for growth, take initiative, and explore new paths.
Everything we do is about more than ourselves. We believe God created us with a purpose greater than personal ambitions. Therefore, we celebrate generosity and teach one another to have others’ best interests in mind. Generosity creates an amazing environment and reflects God’s heart, as He sent His Son Jesus and gave Him freely to all mankind.
Generosity is a way of life – a selfless attitude that is essential for a thriving society and fellowship.
At Acts Academy, we foster servant leadership, cooperation, and generosity. We aim to surprise and inspire everyone who visits or comes in contact with our students and staff.
Acts Academy is located in a 5,000 m² building, surrounded by a beautiful park with views of Kolding. Inaugurated in 1957, this building houses several organizations:
All organizations in the building share meals in Acts Academy’s dining room and gather for a weekly morning devotion.
While we cooperate with the Apostolic Church, which is our spiritual background, Acts Academy also serves as a Bible college and resource center for a wide range of free churches and ecclesiastical movements across Denmark and Europe.
The school is bilingual (Danish and English) and trains both men and women to take on responsibility in churches and society. All students participate in internships with their own church or with churches, organizations, and social initiatives we partner with.
Our students learn from the best educators within church and society, making us part of a much larger community. We are also members of FrikirkeNet, the umbrella organization for most free churches in Denmark.
Acts Academy is one of about 70 folk high schools in Denmark. These schools are a unique Danish concept designed to promote “livsoplysning” (education about life) and democratic formation. Teaching at Acts Academy is broad in scope, and we bring together students from various nationalities to teach them the Christian faith and our cultural heritage.
By seeing themselves through the lens of faith in God, students are shaped in a community full of challenges. They are also given concrete opportunities to engage in meaningful, socially relevant activities.
Find the Way That Suits You Best
You can help write a new chapter at Bible college and be part of this exciting new season. Even if you can’t attend Bible college now or have already been part of it, there are still many ways you can get involved. Below, you’ll find the different roles you can play to support the mission.
No matter how skilled we are, we depend on the Spirit of God to guide us with wisdom, power, anointing, and revelation. We need as many of you as possible to join us in prayer for God’s will to be done every day.
You have the opportunity to help students by making tax-deductible donations to the student fund, which directly supports their school fees. When you donate to the student fund, your contribution multiplies:

It All Began in 1929 Every summer, a large group of young Christians gathered at a farm in Seest, near Kolding. Over the years, the events evolved.
By 1934, the number of participants had reached up to 1,000, and in 1939, the first 6-week Bible college began with 27 students meeting in the farmhouse. The course included Bible interpretation, English, singing, and music.
The growing attendance at the summer meetings and the ongoing courses inspired a group of leaders, led by Sigfred Beck, during a meeting in 1941—amid the turmoil of the war years. They were inspired to build a Bible college with an impact across Europe. The vision was presented with the motto: "Build the temple of faith by the example of faith." In the same year, Beate & Hans Beck donated the entire 33,000 m² site, complete with lake and park, to the project. Following this, a major fundraising campaign was launched. Between 1941 and 1953, DKK 900,000 was raised.
In 1949, the school was officially recognized as a folk high school, and in 1951, the first international students arrived from Switzerland, Norway, and Germany.
In the summer of 1957, the new building was officially inaugurated, with 100 students from Denmark and abroad. Today, the school spans nearly 5,000 m² across 5 floors. If the school's three sections were fully extended, it would reportedly measure the same as Noah’s Ark. More than 5,000 students have studied at the school.
